Advocacy Win – Free and Reduced Fee TAFE Access in WA
We bring you news that the WA Government has announced bridging visa holders with both study & work rights who have applied for a permanent protection visa (subclass 866) & refugees from Afghanistan and Ukraine on temporary humanitarian visas, will now be able to access the free and low-fee TAFE courses! Of note is that TVP, SHEV and BVE holders already have access to free and fee reduced TAFE courses in WA.
Well done to all who have pushed for this change, including Professional Migrant Women’s Network Inc and members of the Western Australia Refugees and People Seeking Asylum Network, including CARAD-Centre for Asylum Seekers, Refugees and Detainees Inc & Curtin Centre for Human Rights Education.
